How to test the Lyric SiX Key Fob

To test the Key Fob for proper function, follow the steps outlined below.

1. Press and hold the Arm Away button for 3 seconds, ensure the light on the Key Fob lights up, and ensure that the alarm panel arms in Away mode.
2. Press and hold the Disarm button for 3 seconds ensure the light on the Key Fob lights up, and ensure that the alarm panel Disarms.
3. Press and hold the Arm Stay button for 3 seconds ensure the light on the Key Fob lights up, and ensure that the alarm panel arms in stay mode..

You can also test the panic button on the Key Fob, in order to do this, it is best to contact our Technical Support department so that we can place the account on test, and verify that a signal is sent to the monitoring station.

How to change the batteries in the Lyric (SiX) Key Fob

If the batteries in your Key Fob are low, follow the steps outlined below to replace them.

1. Use a small Phillips screwdriver to remove the screw on the back of the Key Fob.

2. Use a small flatblade screwdriver, key, or coin to use the pry notch to pry the Key Fob open.

3. Remove the dead battery from the battery tray, and dispose of it properly.

4. Insert the new CR2032 battery paying close attention to the orientation of the battery, when you replace the battery the negative side of the battery will be facing upward.
5. Once the battery is installed in the Key Fob, snap the back cover back in place, then reinsert the screw that holds it together.

6. With the Key Fob back together, test the fob for function by using it to arm and disarm the alarm system.

Lost or stolen Key Fob

If your Key Fob is lost or stolen you will want to get it deactivated as soon as possible in order to maintain the security of your home. Please call Technical Support for assistance with deleting the Key Fob out of the panel.
