How to change the battery in the Honeywell Medical Pendant
If the battery in your 5802WXT Medical Pendant is low, follow the steps outlined below to change it.
Remove the pendant from any mounting systems, (i.e. watch, belt clip, etc.) so that you have the pendant by itself.
Remove the four screws holding the device together using a very small Phillips screwdriver.
Using a small flat blade screwdriver, pry the back cover off of the pendant exposing the board with the battery installed.
Remove the battery from the board using your small screwdriver to slide under the battery near the gold tab, then gently pry the battery from the tray.
Properly dispose of the old battery.
Install a new CR2032 battery in the sensor by inserting the battery under the black tab, then pushing it down until the gold tab secures it in place. Make sure that the positive (+) side of the battery is facing outward.
Place the board back in the sensor, snap the case back together, and use your small Phillips screwdriver to reinstall the screws securing the case closed.
Once the battery has been replaced, contact Technical Support and ask for assistance in testing the device for proper function.
To activate your panic pendant in the case of a medical emergency, grasp your Medical Pendant, and locate the button in the middle of the device.
Press and hold this button down for 5 seconds, and you will see a red light flash 20 times indicating that it has been activated. As long as you are within range of the alarm panel (150 feet) the alarm system will be set off and request medical assistance from the monitoring station.
After you have set the alarm off with the pendant, simply press disarm on the alarm panel, and type in the master code to deactivate the siren.
